Arabic language-learning platform
Learners of Levantine (spoken) Arabic have far fewer good tools than learners of Modern Standard Arabic. Olive Arabic set out to teach the dialect people actually speak, with structured lessons, regular review and help whenever a learner gets stuck.
Learners move through stages, clusters and lessons in an offline-first React Native (Expo) app with spaced-repetition review and an AI companion named Olive. A Next.js and Supabase admin manages lesson content, and a Python service uses a Hugging Face M2M100 model for English-to-Levantine translation.
